Natural Dye Workshop
Most natural dyes come from plant sources like roots, berries, bark, and leaves, as well as other biological sources such as fungi. These dyes are biodegradable, non-toxic, and non-allergenic. They also have a much lower environmental impact compared to synthetic dyes.
So get hands on with natural dyes and create your own bundle-dyed silk square. Unlike standard dip dyeing, bundle dyeing allows you to arrange flowers, petals, leaves, herbs, and vegetables directly onto the fabric. This hands-on approach produces intricate patterns and a stunning array of colors, bringing nature’s beauty to life in your unique creation.
- July 27, 3pm – 6pm
- $77 – all materials included
- Teens and adults
- RVAC Kitchen Studios | 320 Wilson st.
- Participants may choose to let their silk squares air dry at home, or at the gallery for future collection
