Workshop: Métis-Style Beaded Leather Mittens (Day 1 of 2)
Learn to bead and hand sew a pair of beautiful Métis / Indigenous style mittens. Some experience hand and machine sewing is helpful, but enthusiasm will work too!
This 2 day course will occur over 2 weekends: Saturday, Jan 31, 9:30 – 4:00 and Saturday, Feb 7, 9:30 – 4:00 MST.
This will allow time to complete essential elements before assembling the mitten. A sewing machine for your liners is useful but not required.
The cost is $200, supplies included.
The Elk Valley Metis Association will provide sponsorship for Metis / Indigenous persons.
Advanced registration is required, 15 persons max.
