The public is welcomed to commemorate Métis leader Louis Riel, In partnership with the West Kootenay Métis Society. Raise the Métis flag at City Hall, and then join us at the Nelson Museum for stew and bannock, and to officially open the Truth and Reconciliation case in the 2nd floor museum exhibit. This event is FREE and open to all.

11am: raising the Métis flag (City Hall)

12pm: official launch of the Truth and Reconciliation case (Museum 2nd floor)

1pm: stew and bannock (Museum breezeway)
