Know Your Worth: Pricing Your Artistic Work
November 16, 2022 @ 6:00 pm PST
This fall, the West Kootenay Regional Arts Council is hosting a series of workshops to help you effectively showcase your creative work and build a more sustainable practice.
From ticket prices at the box office to festival presentation fees, it can be hard to know how the value of your work stacks up against similar offerings in the cultural marketplace. Hear from arts advocates from a range of disciplines about how to fairly price your work, and learn about the role of industry standards in fostering a culture of decent work.
Join facilitator Ingrid Love, along with:
- Randy Duniz, Director of Communications, Canadian Actors’ Equity Association
- Miah Shull Olmsted, Board Member, CARFAC BC
- August Murphy-King, General Manager, Canadian League of Composers.
This session is free and open to all; however, the discussion will be geared toward early career artists. It takes place virtually on Wednesday, November 16 at 6 p.m. Pacific / 7 p.m. Mountain.
Note: The event will be recorded and shared to the public on this website. To learn when the recording is available, follow us on Facebook or Instagram or sign up for our newsletter.
