Kid’s Felting Workshop
3-day March Break Felting Workshop for Kids – Course Summary
This three-day workshop invites children ages 6-12 to explore the art of felting while incorporating colour theory, creativity, and hands-on crafting. Each day, kids will learn a new felting technique—wet felting and needle felting—while creating beautiful handmade projects to take home. Beyond fiber arts, the workshop includes painting, storytelling, and outdoor play, ensuring a well-rounded and engaging experience. With guidance from two experienced instructors, kids will develop new skills, express their creativity, and gain confidence in their artistic abilities.
Day 1 – Learn colour theory, paint a colour wheel, then Wet felt a Complimentary coloured pouch
Day 2 – Needle felting intro: Make a Fox Star Wand & design your own brooch or pin (start a 3D owl)
Day 3 – Create a 3D Needle-Felted Owl
Ages 6-12
