WHAT YOU’LL LEARN:
This workshop will give you an overview and introduction to the Props Department in the film industry. We’ll go over responsibilities and typical techniques used for prop building. Participants will have a hands-on look at examples from the art department and hero props from White Monkey’s extensive props collection. As well, participants will get a mini tour of White Monkey’s mini prop building studio in Nelson (scaled-down from their original props house in Vancouver). The open discussion format will allow for any questions you have about working in props in film and the creative process, to be answered by an industry professional with over 30+ years experience.
