The West Kootenays Francophone Association invites you to its annual FRANCOFÊTE, held at Lakeside Park on June 25th from 4 to 8:30pm. La FrancoFête celebrates French language and its cultures. Through socio-cultural, artistic and interactive activities, the AFKO aims to promote all French cultures and give people an occasion to celebrate them. With games, workshops and concerts by local artists, we wish to gather French speaking people, French enthusiasts and anyone who wants to learn more about French culture! This event is free and open for everyone of all ages and all cultures!
On the agenda for this event:
Opening of the celebrations | 4 p.m.
Community Jam | 4 p.m. – 5:20 p.m. The band Veranda will invites you to jam with them. Bring your instruments.
Local talent and young DJs trained by AFKO | 5:30 p.m. – 6:15 p.m.
Show by the group Veranda | 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Music by senior DJs trained by AFKO | until closure of the site at 8:30 p.m.
