Attention! The first annual Echo Peaks Festival will be taking Nelson by storm April 25-27th. With grassroots organizing at its core, Echo Peak’s is a testament to the spirit of the Kootenay community and beyond. BC artists unite at local Nelson venues, transforming the town into a musical playground. From the best of hard hitting energetic funk-rock, to electroacoustic beats to the region’s best DJ’s, prepare for an immersive experience curated exclusively by locals for locals, featuring a lineup of badass homegrown talent. For this weekend, echoing between mountain peaks, Nelson becomes the beating heart of BC’s music scene.

The Royal is hosting an array of BCs best live bands from Thursday to Saturday night while the Kootenays most eclectic DJs will play at the Eagles Hall for the after parties

(Fri+Sat). In one night you can see your favourite bands and DJs all in Nelson’s core.

The History of Gunpowder

THE HISTORY OF GUNPOWDER is a freak-out ensemble from Montreal, now based in Vancouver, with an ever-changing cast of members that put on unpredictable, chaotic live shows. A staple of the Canadian live scene, The History is devoted to constantly pushing the envelope on stage and in the studio and has built a community around them that consists of some of the best musicians in Canada. On any given night, The History may have a horn section, violin quartet, or gospel vocal group joining them on stage to add to their 8-piece core group. For this performance, The History will be playing new music with an extended line up, come hear never-before performed material before festival season!

Headlining Echo Peaks Festival, The History will burn the house down. Their shows sell out quickly as folks flock to see the unforgettable show of power of an 8-piece, heavy hitting, other-worldly sound.

Stubbs and The

Stubbs and The is a multi genre theatrical musical experience. A group of five hooligans performing eclectic music in over 10 different languages and stylings. Hailing from the small mountain town of Rossland, BC, Stubbs and The have taken their ridiculously entertaining live shows to every corner of Canada as part of their 51 show 2023 Canadian Summer Tour.

People across the country from Whitehorse to St John’s want more of what this new and excitingly different band have to offer. They’ve packed venues all over the country and have blown away festival goers with appearances at Blizzard Fest, Between The Peaks, Oktober Fest, Nelson Beer Fest, Lunafest, Gentlefest and Tumblestone.

Stubbs and The is driven to push the limits of what you like in music with elements that mix silliness with genuine authenticity. There are no rules; Stubbs and The want to show you what explorative music can sound like!
