Attention! The first annual Echo Peaks Festival will be taking Nelson by storm April 25-27th. With grassroots organizing at its core, Echo Peak’s is a testament to the spirit of the Kootenay community and beyond. BC artists unite at local Nelson venues, transforming the town into a musical playground. From the best of hard hitting energetic funk-rock, to electroacoustic beats to the region’s best DJ’s, prepare for an immersive experience curated exclusively by locals for locals, featuring a lineup of badass homegrown talent.
For this weekend, echoing between mountain peaks, Nelson becomes the beating heart of BC’s music scene.
The Royal is hosting an array of BCs best live bands from Thursday to Saturday night while the Kootenays most eclectic DJs will play at the Eagles Hall for the after parties
(Fri+Sat). In one night you can see your favourite bands and DJs all in Nelson’s core.

Chimp It
Blending the richness of cutting edge electronic music with the depth and emotion of blistering guitar licks and live vocals Chimp It’s signature move is to keep their fans guessing, as they weave their original material into edits and remixes from their favourite artists and peers, moving through Garage, Dubstep, House, DnB or whatever fresh gems they’ve uncovered in the far reaches of the music-verse. They have been selected for prime time slots at events such as Shambhala, Wicked Woods, Friendzy Fest, Tiny Lights and Arc’teryx Academy. Chimp It has landed many opening slots and jammed live with acts such as Moontricks, Lazy Syrup Orchestra and Kytami & Phonik Ops.

Dinosaur Fight which is an Electro-Funk Hip-Pop Duo Feat Rahj Levinson Craig Walter. These multi-instrumentalists use live looping to bring a totally unique feel to recognizable covers while maintaining a “different every time” appeal (NO BACKING TRACKS ARE USED, ALL IS BUILT LIVE!) Playing in many acts over the years including Wassabi Collective, The Hillties, Alpine Conspiracy, Intersect & Cold Mtn Air just to name a few. This act can play any room, opening for major bands such as Moontricks, Freak Motif, Apollo Suns and Evergreen Afro-Dub Orchestra.
