Author Talk

April 12 @ 7:00 pm9:00 pm PDT

Join us at the library with local author Ellen Burt talking about her new book “An Impossible Fidelity: My Quaker Childhood”

Friday April 12th at 7:00 pm
Ellen Burt is a Kootenay author and a spoken word artist active in the writing community. She received an award for creative non-fiction from the Kootenay Literary Awards. She is also the recipient of the 2023 Richard Carver Award.
“In this lyrical and honest memoir of growing up Quaker in the 1950″s and turbulent 60’s in Northwest U.S.A., Ellen Burt provides a rare glimpse into a childhood and adolescence centred in the Quaker community, with her imperfect and very human family” Helen Blum, librarian.
