83. Cajsa Fredin / Matsdotter Metals
Welded metal art; sculpture

Inspired by nature and influenced by both folk and pop art, my artwork contrasts vibrant colours and expressive shapes with welded steel. I love experimenting with the natural patinas of metal, and there’s nothing better than a good rust! I have too many ideas with not enough time to make them! While I create collections, I never make the same thing twice—my work is very in the moment, inspired by the life and times, or maybe just what I saw on my walk that day. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to create and share my studio with you. Come on by and check out this year’s work, and have a hand at welding if you want to try it out.
