43. Whirling Wind Studio

Stone sculpture; beadwork

The work done by Jo Argue at Whirling Wind Studio is about story. Whether it is listening to the stone reveal what it wants to become or transforming beads into small snapshots of moments in time, there is always a story. The observer, or the wearer, also brings a story to the art, revealing more layers to objects that we keep close to us.

I am also interested in the tactile nature of art. How something feels lends depth to the story of its creation and its life. I hope you will find stories you enjoy in my work and please do touch the art.

44. Lars Baggenstos Sculptor & Illustrator

Sculpting; demonstration; studio tour

My artistic creativity and stimuli revolve around the questions I have about human and wildlife coexistence and the friction it causes. It is an instinctive and expressive approach, where the process is still visible in the finished piece. My work is figurative and multi-textural—hand-hewn cuts, scratches and deep scrapes guide the viewer’s eye to the carefully finished areas of the sculptures.
