Exhibit Launch: Gifts of the Ancestors
Incorporating stories, crafts, and ancestral baskets entrusted to our care by Sinixt Elders, Matriarchs, and knowledge-keepers, this new exhibit represents another step towards our goal of decolonizing the Museum and supporting Sinixt cultural resurgence.
Join us at the Rossland Museum on Thursday, November 16th from 5pm – 7pm for a Tobacco Offering Ceremony, a Blessing of the new exhibit, a showing of the short film Learning mxiɬp, and time to mix and mingle while taking in the new display.
This event will be open by donation (towards the Autonomous Sinixt), with snacks and refreshments provided.
