33. Woodland Hillside

Artisan; rescued wood; marketplace

Woodland Hillside works with local rescued wood to create beautiful and functional products, from keychains to live-edge furniture. Owners Melissa and Ghislain utilize dead standing, fallen and danger trees to create their uniquely crafted pieces. Woodland Hillside adds value to wood that would normally be put into landfills or burned. The stunning natural designs and colours of their wood create lasting treasures that bring the forest indoors. Learn about how they create their products while working to have a gentle footprint on local forests. Whether you are looking for one-of-a-kind pieces for home, work, gifts or special occasions, don’t miss out on stopping in to experience this unique and beautiful store!

37. Chris Marit

Felted creatures; woven scarves; wall hangings; small paintings

I am a mixed-media artist; at this time in my art practice, I am focusing on fibre arts, which offer colour and texture in various formats. I was influenced by a childhood growing up in Scotland in a family where “making things” was a part of life. For many years I have been exploring fibre art forms by learning through experimentation, workshops, reading and online tutorials.

38. Dabble ‘n’ Dip

Reimaged furniture

I breathe new life into forgotten pieces, reimagining everything from tables and trinket boxes to one-of-a-kind art and most things in between. Blending paint, découpage and hand-applied transfers, each creation carries its own story—layered, textured and full of soul. Inspired by a love of creativity and conscious living, my work embraces perfectly imperfect beauty while keeping treasures out of the landfill, one piece at a time. I also offer thoughtful supplies, so you can create your own unique treasures.
