DESCRIPTION:Apollo Suns\nFounded by Ed Durocher\, Apollo Suns is a 9-piece instrumental collective from Winnipeg\, Manitoba. The band fuses the influence of jazz\, rock and psychedelic music\, to create their own unique sounds with the dancefloor in mind. They have self-released three EPs: ‘Each Day a Different Sun’ (2017)\, ‘Dawn Offerings’ (2019)\, ‘A Relationship of Force’ (Color Red\, 2021)\, and were awarded “Instrumental Artist of the Year” at Western Canadian Music Awards in both 2018/2020. \nStubbs and The \nStubbs and The are ever-enigmatic. The evolving nature of their name reflects the organic spontaneity of their sound. They will have the options of using a canvas provided but really its pretty open forum for whatever they want to create. After the hour is up\, you (the crowd) will judge your favorite and the winner will go through to the grand final in March for some major prizes.\nRaffle tickets will be available for purchase with your chance to win the art pieces created on the night with all money raised going straight to the artists.\nThere will also be some interactive fun and your favorite DJ – Mr Paradise spinning some phat beats.\nIt’s fun\, it’s silly and it’s out right incredible watching the artists do their thing so get around it. Co-founder of Canadian roots-rock group Blackie and The Rodeo Kings\, he is a beguiling teller of tales\, and his masterful guitar work and engaging performance style combine to present an intimate and moving experience.\nThrough a life of many relocations and countless months on the road performing\, Fearing has become a gifted storyteller and true musical nomad with the ability to enthrall audiences of all sizes and attitudes. “Getting on stage is the fun part\, especially when the adrenaline kicks in\,” he says\, with a broad smile. “People want to escape and be taken on a journey. I build my shows so they do just that.” \nStephen is committed to using his music to support community-building projects like\nTogether Nelson\, a community-based initiative launched by Nelson at its Best in the fall of 2020.\nIts work is to better understand local poverty in order to create a four-year Community Action Strategy to reduce poverty in Nelson and Area.
