DESCRIPTION:Fernie’s biggest\, snowiest winter celebrations! #GrizDays \nNamed Best Winter Festival by Avenue Magazine in the Best of the Mountains 2023 reader ballot! \n \nBe sure to purchase your Griz Pin as soon as you arrive in Fernie – or risk being thrown in Griz Jail and have to pay a fine to be released! Griz Pins go on sale in February and are widely available at retailers and venues around Fernie. Each pin has a unique number; in early March there will be a draw and the winner will receive $1000! \nThe annual Griz Days Festival is traditionally Fernie’s biggest event\, encompassing the entire community from Fernie Alpine Resort to the Provincial Park to the Highway and Historic Downtown Fernie. It is a full\, wild weekend of activities and live entertainment for all ages. \n2025 THEME: For the 48th celebration\, Fernie is honouring the Griz with a theme that blends the rugged spirit of the wilderness with the elegance of a bygone era – Vintage Formal!
