GIRAF is Calgary’s annual festival of innovative animated films. \nOne of the film’s screening in the all-ages program is TINY\, a contemplative film which tells the story of ‘Nakwaxda’xw Elder Colleen Hemphill’s childhood. TINY was presented with the inaugural Elevate Award at Vancouvers DOXA Festival. The jurors applauded the film’s innovative use of stop motion animation and the filmmaker’s caring celebration of elder Colleen Hemphill and the lands and waters of Alert Bay. DESCRIPTION:Propel Studios & Angry Hen Brewing Present:\nRob Funk live on the Angry Hen patio Friday\, June 2nd!\nBorn and raised in Nova Scotia\, Rob has been surrounded by family and community music since early childhood. First was piano lessons till he was 12 and then to drums/percussion in his teenage years and then picked up the guitar and bass in his early 20s. Now calling Nelson his home\, Rob enjoys performing his original tunes and unique versions of cover songs on piano and guitar. When he’s not performing\, Rob is an avid fisherman and loves spending time in our wonderful area. \nShow starts at 6pm // By Donation \n$5-$10 donation per person to support the artist is encouraged and appreciated \nThe beers will be flowing\, great eats cooking\, and awesome folk tunes with Rob Funk to start your Friday off right!
