SUMMARY:Basin Food Summit (6th annual)
DESCRIPTION:The Basin Food Summit and Expo have been held in the Columbia Basin since 2018 at a new location each year. The event is designed to celebrate\, connect and grow the region’s food industry and all the community members that play a roll in it. You can learn about past events here and get a feel for what happens over the 3 days of the region’s only annual food summit. \n  \nThis year we will host two days of Industry related programming\, followed by a public day (Saturday Oct 26) which will include: a large marketplace for basin food vendors and this year we will add (for the first time ever) an artisan marketplace for those who created products inspired by or using mushrooms. Connecting the mycelial network is the theme of this year’s event and as the space available at the Nakusp arena allows\, we will expand our marketplace to truly celebrate the fungi! \nAmid all this\, there will be plenty of time to reconnect with your Basin food friends\, soak in the mineral-rich hot springs\, tour local farms\, vineyards\, and orchards\, and enjoy a unique mushroom musical performance and an exceptional farm-to-table dining experience featuring Chef Tyler Leeson of Bella Soriah and Chanterelle. \nVisit basinfood.ca to review the agenda\, speakers\, and get tickets.
