SUMMARY:Workshop: Métis-Style Beaded Leather Mittens (Day 1 of 2)
DESCRIPTION:Learn to bead and hand sew a pair of beautiful Métis / Indigenous style mittens. Some experience hand and machine sewing is helpful\, but enthusiasm will work too!\nThis 2 day course will occur over 2 weekends: Saturday\, Jan 31\, 9:30 – 4:00 and Saturday\, Feb 7\, 9:30 – 4:00 MST.\nThis will allow time to complete essential elements before assembling the mitten. A sewing machine for your liners is useful but not required. \nThe cost is $200\, supplies included.\nThe Elk Valley Metis Association will provide sponsorship for Metis / Indigenous persons. \nAdvanced registration is required\, 15 persons max.
