Participants of The Art of Adornment designed wearable art for this juried fashion show. Presented in collaboration with the Rossland Council for Arts and Culture (RCAC). \nEvents and Activities:\nAugust 10-11 @ 10am-5pm: Visit the VISAC Gallery during the Columbia Basin Culture Tour to engage with the exhibition and participate in a recycled art workshop.

With music by eight-time Academy Award winner\, Alan Menken\, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Glenn Slater and a compelling book by Doug Wright\, this fishy fable will capture your heart with its irresistible songs\, including “Under the Sea\,” “Kiss the Girl” and “Part of Your World.” \nAriel\, King Triton’s youngest daughter\, wishes to pursue the human Prince Eric in the world above\, bargaining with the evil sea witch\, Ursula\, to trade her tail for legs. But the bargain is not what it seems\, and Ariel needs the help of her colorful friends\, Flounder the fish\, Scuttle the seagull and Sebastian the crab to restore order under the sea. \nThe Little Mermaid is presented through special arrangement with Musical Theatre International (MTI). \nOriginally produced by Disney Theatrical Productions. \nDirected by Jesse Greenway\nMusical Direction by Malaika Horswill\nChoreography by Jodie Edmunds\nDesign by Adriana Bogaard

DESCRIPTION:When people gather to make music\, the world is slightly better place. Spend your Sunday afternoon getting into rhythm with those around you. No experience necessary. Some drums\, shakers and other percussive instruments will be provided\, but please bring your own if you have. Also bring a blanket or a chair. We will gather in the gazebo at Centennial Park in New Denver from 2pm-4pm. By Donation.
