DESCRIPTION:The West Kootenays Francophone Association invites you to its annual FRANCOFÊTE\, held at Lakeside Park on June 25th from 4 to 8:30pm. La FrancoFête celebrates French language and its cultures. Through socio-cultural\, artistic and interactive activities\, the AFKO aims to promote all French cultures and give people an occasion to celebrate them. With games\, workshops and concerts by local artists\, we wish to gather French speaking people\, French enthusiasts and anyone who wants to learn more about French culture! This event is free and open for everyone of all ages and all cultures! \nOn the agenda for this event: \nOpening of the celebrations | 4 p.m. \nCommunity Jam | 4 p.m. – 5:20 p.m. The band Veranda will invites you to jam with them. Bring your instruments. \nLocal talent and young DJs trained by AFKO | 5:30 p.m. – 6:15 p.m. \nShow by the group Veranda | 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. \nMusic by senior DJs trained by AFKO | until closure of the site at 8:30 p.m. \nThe event is free of charge\, so we hope to see you there!
