Maybe the best I’ve seen in Nelson\, honestly. Please do it again!”\n “I haven’t laughed that much in a long time.”\n “We loved it so so much and can’t wait to see the next show!”\n“PEOPLE IN THE BATHROOM CAN”T STOP TALKING ABOUT HOW GOOD THE SHOW IS!!!! AHHH!!!!!” \nThe Cast: \nJaymes Bowman \nMichelle Hart \nEmma Hill \nRuby Horton \nKait Hundt-Lippett \nRuth Krulitsky \nJonathan Ramos \n  \nWith special guest\, Jackie Atkins!  \n  \nDirected by Michelle Hart  \nThis 90-minute production\, including an intermission\, features mature content—parental discretion is advised. \nDue to the incredible response to our last show\, we’re thrilled to add a second performance! SUMMARY:“HYPROV: Improv Under Hypnosis” starring Colin Mochrie (of Whose Line Is It Anyway?) and Asad Mecci (World Renowned Hypnotist)
DESCRIPTION:The City of Trail and Trail Arts Council co-present Silver City Day’s “HYPROV: Improv Under Hypnosis” starring Colin Mochrie (of Whose Line Is It Anyway?) and Asad Mecci (World Renowned Hypnotist).\n\nHYPROV (pronounced hip-rawv) is coming to Trail after 100 cities toured\, a 70-show run Off Broadway in New York City and a six month residency in Las Vegas!!\n\nHYPROV is “hilarious and fascinating” (says Time Out New York) and is “catnip for those who relish spontaneity and informality\,” (The Wall Street Journal). The New Yorker says\, “say yes to HYPROV\,”!\n\nThe 90-minute live show combines hypnosis and improv – two art forms that have mystified and entertained fans\, skeptics and everyone in between worldwide – for a totally unique comedy experience that The Times of London declared “a celebration of the human imagination.” Your evening begins with World Renowned Hypnotist\, Asad Mecci welcoming 20 volunteers* on stage to be hypnotized.\n\nThe most receptive to hypnosis then join Colin Mochrie (Whose Line is it\, Anyway?) to improvise the rest of the show\, while hypnotized. In the hands of two experts\, and solely crafted from the volunteers’ uninhibited\, unconscious minds and audience suggestions\, each show is an entirely original and completely unforgettable theatrical experience. Whether in the audience or on stage performing\, get ready to have the time of your life!!\n\nThe most interactive comedy show in the world!\n\n“Hilarious and Fascinating” – Time out New York\n\nMore about the show at https://hyprov.com/\n\nLicensed Event.\n\nTICKETS: ALL AGES $50. Community Access Card $25 (limited # available)\n\nReserved Seating. Length of show: 90mins\n\n*Participation is completely voluntary\n**Disclaimer*** all ages welcome but we cannot control the language of what comes out the mouths of people under hypnosis.\n*** The show will be over in time to watch the SCD fireworks.\n\nWheelchair seating is available but can only be purchased through the box office 250-368-9669.

She is also a regular on the Jest Ladies and “Life is Funny” troupes and Jokers Canada. \nSyd has opened for Debra DiGiovanni\, Maria Bamford\, Simon King and Julie Kim. \nAudience reviews of Syd’s shows include “That older lady was really funny” and “My wife laughed so much that she peed her pants”. \nLIsten to some of Syd’s comedy: https://open.spotify.com/track/0NXWQz1pxzvkc8VH9vbSwh?si=87baa249cffe4128 \nHelen Schneiderman opens for Syd sharing the good\, the bad and the ugly to get you laughing. Helen got into stand-up comedy a few years ago as a way to get off her couch. She was runner-up in the 2019 BC Funniest New Female Comic contest and was the opening comic for the 2020 “I Am Woman Hear Me Laff” tour and 2022 Chutzpah Festival. \nHelen’s favourite review: “I really liked the pretty one with the weird accent.” \nWatch Helen perform: https://youtu.be/IgaecbMWYmQ \nPlus a local comedy act! Joining them is Nelson based Michelle Hart\, a multi-disciplinary artist\, specializing in theatre and improvisation. \nSince graduating from Mount Allison University with a theatre degree\, she has trained\, taught\, and performed with theatre institutions across North America to hone her craft.
