DESCRIPTION:Holly Hyatt and Jon Burden have morphed from an acoustic blues duo to an electric quartet that performs with a powerful blend of grit\, soul\, and rock. \nAward-winning vocalist-bassist Holly Hyatt and vocalist-guitarist Jon Burden have played Golden a few times already\, but never like this! \nWhat used to be an internationally acclaimed acoustic blues duo who performed with Harry Manx and Jim Byrnes has transformed into the Kootenay Renegades\, a hard-driving and very electric quartet that performs a heady mix of roots and blues as well as catchy rock classics and some tasty originals. With the addition of drummer Steve Wilson and Marty Carter on sax and flute\, these four superb musicians plug in and let rip with a powerful blend of blues grit\, soul\, and fiery rock. DESCRIPTION:Want to learn and practice dancing Argentine Tango?\n\n\nWe host a weekly mini-lesson and practica at Christie Lee’s Hall in Fairview.\n\n\nThe guided portion from 7:30-8:15 has a different host and topic each week (check our Facebook page for host and topic announcements). We have an open practice after the lesson until 9:30pm.\n\n\n\nDancers of all levels are welcome! Material is beginner-friendly.\n\n\nTango is an improvised partner dance originating in Argentina and Uruguay; you don’t need a partner to attend tango practices or events and it can be danced by anyone and everyone.\n\n\n\n\nPlease bring your dancing shoes and a water bottle.\n\n\n5$ donation\n\n\n\nWhere to find us: Christies Lees Hall is on Radio Ave.\, in lower Fairview. You can access Radio from 4th or 7th Streets. The Hall’s part of the Kiwanis Villa complex. On Radio Ave. look for “701” on the deck post near the sidewalk leading to the front doors.
