SUMMARY:Nelson Winter Shootout Finale and Show
DESCRIPTION:A five day competition for local photographers to showcase their talent and creativity this winter. From March 27th to the 31st\, competitors will work against the clock to collect images for a selection of five single-image categories\, as well as photo essay category. Submitted photographs are analyzed by a panel of judges\, and the contestants’ creations will be showcased the following week with awards and prizes for category winners at The Royal.\n———–\nStills Categories:\n– Street Photography\n– Wildlife\n– Landscape\n– Inbounds skiing/boarding\n– Backcountry\nPhoto Essay:\nA 60 to 120 second photo essay with audio. There is no restrictions on subject matter and contestants are encouraged to be creative with what they wish to cover!\n———–\nRegistration for photographers will cost $20\, either through eTransfer or cash. To register for the event\, please follow this link to fill out the registration form:\nhttps://docs.google.com/…/1FAIpQLSek92nQxQ5…/viewform…\n———–\nContest Rules:\n– Photos must be taken within the contest timeframe (27th – 31st). EXIF camera data may be needed to verify if a photo is in question.\n– Submissions will be judged by a panel based on photographic and aesthetic merit. Specific criteria will be sent to contestants’ registered email address.\n– Final submissions must be delivered before midnight on the 31st. A link will be sent to contestants’ registered email for fileshare service where submissions will be uploaded.\n– Contest entry fee ($20) must be paid before the end of the shooting window.\n– Post-processing and other editing (i.e. Lightroom\, Photoshop) is permitted.\n– Ownership is retained completely by original photographer.\nGood luck and happy shooting!
