Want to join in on the fun?\nCharacter-driven workshops covering movement\, modelling\, and personal discovery will be offered at Bailey Theatre on Saturday\, April 11th\, at $25 each and open to everyone. \nShow Schedule:\nFriday\, April 10 — Castle Theatre\, Castlegar | 8:00 PM\nSaturday\, April 11 — Charles Bailey Theatre\, Trail | 7:30 PM\nSunday\, April 12 — Salmo Hotel Pub & Grill\, Salmo | 12:00 PM \nTickets range from $17 to $45 (CAD) and are available now at queencityburlesque.ca. \n“The Kootenays deserve world-class live art\, and for seven years the Queen City Burlesque Expo has delivered exactly that. We have an extraordinary lineup\, and I cannot wait to share it.” Venessa Loubert\, Founder and Artistic Director\, Queen City Burlesque Expo \nTrail business manager at Copper Magnolia\, Dana Gould\, echoes that sentiment: “The Expo is great for Trail and its surrounding area. SUMMARY:Creston - CanFilmDay free movie screening: YOUNGBLOOD
DESCRIPTION:National Canadian Film Day (CanFilmDay) is a massive\, coast-to-coast-to-coast salute to Canadian cinema! Launched in 2014\, CanFilmDay has brought together hundreds of thousands of Canadians\, to celebrate our stories and the incredible achievements of our filmmakers. \nThe Creston Valley Public Library is participating again for our fourth annual free film screening in conjunction with National Canadian Film Day. \nJoin us on Wednesday\, April 15th at 7pm for a free screening of the Canadian film YOUNGBLOOD\, directed by Hubert Davis\, starring Shawn Doyle\, Ashton James\, and Blair Underwood. \n“Dean Youngblood\, a top hockey prospect in the minor leagues\, faces the prospect of his career ending early when he’s suspended for an on-ice incident. Given a new chance on a new team\, he has to face his aggression head-on to get back on track and lead his team to a championship. \nDrawing inspiration from the 80s cult classic of the same name\, Director Hubert Davis expertly captures the drama both on and off the ice\, with incredible performances and exhilarating hockey sequences.” \n“In an age when sports movies often feel either overly sentimental or clumsily macho\, ‘Youngblood’ finds a refreshing sweet spot that’s emotionally intelligent\, grounded\, and deeply human.” — Louisa Moore\, Screen Zealots \nFree to attend\, all are welcome.\nfree popcorn! \nthis movie is rated PG.

SUMMARY:Nelson - ALL TOGETHER NOW: Singing Event with Luke Wallace
DESCRIPTION:Join songwriter Luke Wallace and a collection of Nelson Singers for a night of uplifting harmony rooted in justice and ecology. \nLuke Wallace is a dynamic force in the world of folk music\, using his talent as a songwriter\, speaker\, and choral arranger to champion environmental causes and inspire positive change. Hailing from the Coast Salish Territory known as Vancouver\, Canada\, Luke has been on a decade-long journey of touring\, recording\, and organizing for the betterment of people and the planet. \nPresented by West Kootenay Climate Hub and Earth Days Nelson & Area\, ALL TOGETHER NOW is a mix between a song circle and performance. Part concert and part audience harmony workshop\, this evening of collective music brings voices together in soidarity and love for the Earth. \nLuke is like a modern Pete Seeger. From the moment he hits the stage\, he has the audience singing about positive change. We desperately need that and we need him on stages all across our Country right now! He doesn’t back down but he doesn’t alienate people either. He’s a perfect voice for right now.” – Doug Cox \nDoors @ 6:30PM Show @7:00PM\nNelson United Church\nTickets at Eventbrite
