Along the way\, he encounters love\, war\, and temptation\, all while being guided by a mysterious group of performers. With a mix of humour\, heart\, and spectacle\, Pippin is a musical that has resonated with audiences for decades\, offering a message of hope and resilience. SUMMARY:Beginner Hand Building Pottery Workshop
DESCRIPTION:About Hand Building:\nThere are three main techniques: pinch\, coil and slab\, all for a variety of projects and designs. This method of making is the most beginner-friendly\, as it doesn’t require the use of a pottery wheel. It’s also incredibly satisfying to add texture and unique effects on hand built pieces\, making use of stamps and sprigs.\n\nPast projects include:\nStamps\, mugs\, bowls\, plates and ornaments.\n\nAbout Theresa LeRose of Makes Me Smile:\nI love the endless possibilities of using clay to create functional art. It is a way to combine my interest in printing\, painting\, drawing\, and stained glass work in a new and tactile medium.\n\nWorkshop Fees:\n$220 for VISAC members (or $250 for non-members) \nSupply Fees:\n$18 for clay\, to be paid by cash or e-transfer on the first day of class\n\nWorkshop Dates:\nMonday mornings\nSeptember 9 – October 7\, 2024 (No class on September 30th)\n11:00am-1:30pm\n\nMinimum 4 students\, with a maximum of 8.\nYouth ages 16-18 are welcome to participate\, with parental consent. \n\nWhere: \nVISAC Gallery – Under the red gallery awning\n1501 Cedar Ave\, Trail\nLower Level of Selkirk Building\n\nIf you have any questions\, reach out to info@visacgallery.com
